Zoya Zara ♥

Hey there, how's everyone doing? I'm suffering from my usual allergies and asthma attacks, but this year I'm going to be brave and keep right on swatching and polishing my nails. I even got one of those surgical masks to limit the fumes inhalation. :p
So, today's polish is Zoya Zara from the Flourish Winter 08 collection. I admit I got it for its name, since my dog's name is Zarah, I couldn't pass this up!
Luckily it's not a fugly color at all, with its lovely gold shimmer in a lilac base.

Questo per me è il periodo delle allergie e degli attacchi d'asma, ma quest'anno sarò più coraggiosa dell'anno passato e continuerò a produrre swatches e a verniciarmi tutto il possibile. Ho persino preso una di quelle maschere da chirurgo per limitare l'inalazione dei vapori. :p
Comunque, lo smalto di oggi è Zoya Zara, dalla Flourish Winter 08 collection. Devo ammettere di averlo acquistato per il nome, dal momento che il mio cane si chiama Zarah. Non potevo di certo farmelo sfuggire!
Fortunatamente il colore è bello quanto il nome che porta (XD megalomania, lo so), con i suoi riflessi dorati in una base lilla.

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Ruby Emerald

Hi again ^^, sorry for the lack of posts.
Today's polish is Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Ruby Emerald. It's a gorgeous dark red that sparkles gold.
This is 3 coats, no top coat.

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Bronze Coral

Today's polish is Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Bronze Coral. It's a duochrome shifting from dark rose to bronzey gold.
3 coats, no top coat.

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms South Sea Pearl

Up next is Sally Hansen Nail Prisms South Sea Pearl, a duochrome. It shifts from pearly glittery gold to pearly pink. It's really sheer and runny but still manageably so. I don't really like wearing sheers since I used to bite my nails pretty viciously and that causes the white part of my nail to start higher up than normal.

Lo smalto di oggi è Sally Hansen Nail Prisms South Sea Pearl, bicromatico che passa da un oro perlato con del glitter a un rosa perlato.
E' decisamente trasparente e un pò troppo liquido, ma me la sono cavata. Non amo indossare smalti che lascino trasparire l'unghia perchè dal momento che avevo l'abitudine di mangiarmi le unghie, la parte bianca inizia molto più in alto del normale, e non mi piace si veda...

Models Own Champagne

Hi again, today I have swatches of Models Own Champagne to show you. This is three coats and no top coat.
I really like this kind of shade, and Champagne reminds me of one of my favourite polishes, Chanel Kaleidoscope, except this has a more pink shimmer and veers more towards gold.

OPI Absolutely Alice VS Gemey (Maybelline) Bleu Divin

Hey there!
Today's post is about a possible dupe for OPI Absolutely Alice.
When I first saw AA I knew I'd seen something like it before, and went to find Gemey (Maybelline) Bleu Divin in my stash. I bought BD in April '09 from a French eBay seller after seeing it swatched somewhere.

It does indeed look very similar to Absolutely Alice, but it's not a real dupe, since it contains bigger gold glitter along with the fine one and it's a slightly different shade of blue. All this is noticeable in the bottle and if you look closely when on the nail, but it's hard to tell them apart from a distance, especially with the sun shining on them.

H&M Sinful Señorita/Creme de la creme - Vacations and a plea

Hi again! Today I have old pictures of two H&M holographic polishes: Sinful Señorita and Creme de la creme. I also have the other two holos but haven't worn them yet.
They're not the flashiest holos I've ever seen, but they application is smooth and the colors are nice.




Today was a great day nail polish-wise: I received my second BB Couture order at OverallBeauty. I got Blind Love and Fairy Blood, and since the great, amazing, awesome Kim was having Birthday Specials, I got Karibbean Kiersti for free. I also finally caved in and bought (in person, at a shop) my first Zoya, Roxy.

I apologize for the lack of posts, I've been feeling less than stellar for a while, and had some boring stuff to get out of the way, before I could spend time blogging.

Vacation time is coming up, I'm leaving tomorrow, coming back on 06/30, then leaving again for London on the second of July and coming back on the 8th.

Does anyone have polish shopping tips to give?
