Quirius The Arabian Nights + Bundle Monster fauxnad

I recently got my Bundle Monster fauxnad plates and yesterday I decided to try them. I ended up using The Arabian Nights by Quirius (4 coats) as a base and plates BM14 and BM02 with special Konad nail polish in white.
The Arabian Nights needs multiple coats to reach the bottle color, but once you get there it's hard to tell the nails apart from the bottle and the glitter is clearly visible in the black base!

I stamped the 5 little stars from BM14 on all fingers and then added the lips from BM02 on the thumb nails.
I know removing this is probably going to drive me to tears, but it is so worth it while it lasts. ^^
Oh, and I have a lot more Quirius polishes, so expect a brand focus, sooner or later.



Ieri sera ho deciso di provare i miei nuovi Bundle Monster plates, imitazioni dell'originale Konad acquistati su Amazon.com per $21.99 incluse le spese di spedizione.
Ho usato 4 strati di Quirius The Arabian Nights come base e i plates BM14 e BM02 con lo smalto Konad apposito in bianco.
The Arabian Nights ha bisogno di molti strati per avere lo stesso colore della boccetta, ma una volta raggiunto è proprio uguale, il glitter è evidentissimo nonostante la base sia nera.

Dopo aver applicato un top coat e fatto asciugare bene il tutto ho stampinato le 5 stelline del BM14 su tutte le unghie e poi ho aggiunto le labbra del BM02 a quelle dei pollici.

So che togliere il tutto sarà faticoso, ma ne vale veramente la pena, finchè durerà. ^^
Ah, ho parecchi altri smalti Quirius, quindi prima o poi arriverà anche il suo turno per un brand focus. ;)

Hi everyone, I know I've been neglecting you and I apologize. I've been away for a few days, a dear friend of mine got married in Venice so I made a short trip of it.
My manicure was inspired by my dress, I basically recreated the design on my nails.

Buon pomeriggio a tutti, chiedo perdono per aver trascurato il blog in questi giorni.
Sono stata via per qualche giorno perché sono andata al matrimonio di una cara amica a Venezia.
La manicure per l'evento è stata ispirata dal mio vestito, praticamente ho cercato di ricrearne la fantasia sulle unghie.

Diamond Cosmetics Sandle Wood

As promised here's the first polish from Diamond Cosmetics: Sandle Wood.
I admit it's not my usual choice of color, but I needed some more work appropriate colors, and this one really is. It's lovely without risking raised eyebrows.
The first picture is a swatch, three coats no top coat.
The second one is the konadicure I'm wearing as I type. It's the same color in a different light. As you can see I've been to the manicurist for a chop-down, cause today I'm starting an internship at an hospital to be trained as a kind of receptionist.




Il primo smalto della Diamond Cosmetics che ho scelto di mostrarvi è Sandle Wood . Ammetto che non è il tipo di colore tipicamente mio, come mi hanno fatto notare (:P), ma mi serviva qualcosa di appropriato per l'ambiente lavorativo e questo è davvero perfetto.
La prima foto è uno swatch con tre strati e niente top coat, la seconda invece è della konadicure che ho adesso. Come potete notare le mie unghie da quando ho fotografato gli swatches sono passate dall'accetta della manicure. Purtroppo è stato necessario visto che oggi inizio un corso al Pertini per una cooperativa che gestisce le prenotazioni e roba varia.

China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le + Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor + Konad

As promised here's my attempt to spice China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le up a bit.
I started by adding 2 coats of Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor and then used Konad plate M36 with Konad special nail polish in white.

I apologize for the tip wear and the general state of my nails, the pictures were taken after a couple of days wear and a bath with no gloves on. :)

Visto che lo smalto del post di ieri, China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le, mi sembrava un pò noioso, ho aggiunto due strati di Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor e poi, usando lo smalto Konad apposito ho trasferito il disegno dal plate M36.

Chiedo scusa per il pessimo stato delle mie unghie in queste foto, ma sono state fatte dopo qualche giorno di 'usura'. :)

OPI P.P.P. + A.L.L. + Konad

Hi there! I'm back home and happy to be blogging again. In the week I spent in London at the beginning of July I got some nice polishes, and I promise I'll post pictures of them as I wear them.

Today's polish is not my favourite manicure of all time, but I wanted to share it with you since I wore this to my first job interview.
I decided to go with something more appropriate than the usual bright/vampy colors, so I used two OPIs I would have never bought for myself, but received as a mistake from a lovely fellow polish lover.
I used two coats of Pistol Packin' Pink and then added one of Amazing Lazing Lilac.



Since I still wasn't happy with it, I used Konad plate M69 and Special Konad Nail Polish in white.
This is the result:



I am still wearing this, but I hope I'll have the time to change it tonight. I was thinking of trying Nubar V Matte for men over Debby ColorPlay 48, the first polish I ever posted on this blog. I'll post pics if the result is halfway decent ;).

Salve a tutti/e! Durante la settimana passata a Londra all'inizio di luglio mi sono data da fare per trovare le marche di smalto che qui da noi si possono acquistare solo su internet. Posterò le foto man mano che li provo, comunque se dovete andare a Londra e cercate informazioni su quali smalti si possono acquistare, lasciate un commento o mandate una email all'indirizzo nel profilo. ;)

La manicure di oggi non mi fa impazzire, ma la voglio condividere con voi perchè è quella con cui sono andata al mio primo colloquio di lavoro.
Avevo bisogno di uno smalto più appropriato dei soliti smalti accesi o da vamp, quindi ho tirato fuori due smalti OPI che mi sono stati mandati per errore da una ragazza americana che ha scambiato due ordini. I colori si chiamano Pistol Packin' Pink e Amazing Lazing Lilac. Ho iniziato con due passate di PPP e poi ne ho aggiunta una di ALL. Non contenta ho preso il mio kit Konad e usato il Konad plate M69 e lo Special Konad Nail Polish bianco.
Il risultato potete vederlo sopra.

Konad!

Hi again! I'm back from my short trip to the Roman countryside, and tomorrow I'm leaving for London at an ungodly hour of the morning.
Today I have three Konadicures I've done since getting my Konad plates and polishes.



This is my first successful try at a Konadicure. The base is Sinful Colors Midnight blue, then I used China Glaze For Audrey and Konad Plate M63. To create the matte/satiny finish I used Maybelline Matte Maker.
I fell absolutely in love with this, and managed to wear it for nearly a week without chipping.




This one is a more recent try. The base is Sephora Myrtille, the other polish is Maybelline Mirror Image, and the plate is M73. This was quite difficult to get right, and peeled off not two days later :(.




This is my last attempt, China Glaze Watermelon Rind as a base, white Konad polish for the design, and Konad Plate M54. The pictures were taken after a couple of days of wear.

All in all I have to say I really like Konadicures, and have gotten countless compliments on them.

Eccomi di nuovo qui con una tecnica di nail art dal nome che suona familiare: Konad. Non si tratta però della catena di supermercati ;).
Il metodo è semplice ed è descritto qui:



Il mio kit attuale consiste in 4 smalti appositi Konad (bianco, nero, blu ed argento), top coat Konad e 13 Konad plates, ovvero le 'matrici' circolari su cui è inciso il disegno. Poi ovviamente lo stampino e lo scraper, in foto qui sotto.



Personalmente non uso lo scraper in ferro perchè mi è arrivato piegato e mi riga i plates, ma una tessera di plastica rigida che non mi serviva più fa un lavoro egregio senza rigare i plates.

Riguardo gli smalti appositi, nel mio primo ordine a OC Nail Art (la gentilissima Kathleen offre la spedizione internazionale gratuita dall'America con un minimo di spesa di 20 dollari, e si può ottenere uno sconto del 20% inserendo il codice 'polishpixie') ho evitato di ordinarli, sia per evitare problemi alla dogana, sia perchè ero convinta che gli smalti normali avrebbero funzionato altrettanto bene.

E per carità, nella maggior parte dei casi è vero, ma ad esempio il bianco viene molto più definito e preciso se si usa lo smalto Konad apposito.

Tornando per un attimo ad OC Nail Art,

Quindi se parlate un pò di inglese vi consiglio di chiedere a Kathleen di scrivere una cosa diversa, anche se alla fine l'ispezione non mi è costata nulla, visto che non c'erano cosmetici all'interno del pacco.

Anche se mi sono trovata benissimo con Kathleen, per procurarmi gli smalti ho scoperto questo sito: Nail Design Euro Discount.

Il sito è in un italiano da traduttore automatico, ma è funzionale e serio, il pacco parte dalla Germania ed impiega circa una settimana ad arrivare in Italia.
