Hello everyone, you may have noticed I’ve added the ‘iSWAP’ banner and a dedicated page at the top of this blog. As you know it means I’m open to swapping with you lovely ladies from all over the globe.
This post is about what I jokingly dubbed ‘swap meat’ in the title: just some polishes I’ve been buying with you in mind and are ready to find a new home. There’s some KIKOs from the summer sale, many Essence Trend Editions I was able to get my grabby hands on, some backups I don’t find so vital anymore and some misc. polishes I like and thought I’d share with you. Everything's brand new.

Hi girls, just wanted to let you know I haven't been posting much lately because my main computer is at the shop getting a new motherboard after it died on me. It hadn't been working properly for a while and then just gave up :(. They said they've had to order the motherboard and they'll hopefully have it done before the end of next week.

In the meantime I'm going to blog about my new polish source after TD raised their international shipping fees: 8ty8beauty.
From the site you can order China Glaze, Color Club, CND, Orly, Savina plus base coats, top coats and treatments of various brands.
You can also order OPI or Essie by email or phone. Essie is $4.00, OPI is $4.48. (Haven't tried this yet.)

Here's what they have to say about International shipping:

Minimum shipping cost is $16.00 and you can order up to 6 polishes – USPS Global Priority.
Shipping cost is $32.00 if you order 7 to 12 polishes.
Please note that there is NO tracking and NO insurance coverage.
If you order up to 24 polishes – shipping costs is $50.00 – USPS Global Priority.
If you order up to 50 polishes – shipping costs is $88.00 – USPS Express with tracking & insurance coverage.
If you order up to 100 polishes – shipping costs is $150.00 – USPS Express with tracking & insurance coverage.

Keep this chart in mind when you're shopping because International shipping fees are not calculated before you place your order. At checkout you're asked to enter your shipping info and your credit card number every time you order something: there's no log in option, so every order is like the first one.
They'll usually send an invoice with the amount of money they've charged you with 1 or 2 days after your order, so if for any reason you need to cancel your order you need to do it fast.
I have found USPS Priority to be fast and reliable, it usually doesn't take more than 20 days to show up at my door. They pack the polishes in boxes of 3 and then wrap the boxes in newspapers, sending it off in one of those USPS Priority flat rate envelopes.

I have to say I would have liked for things to stay the way they were with TransDesign, since shipping 8 polishes USPS Priority cost $18, but 8ty8beauty is not a bad alternative if you don't mind not being able to pay with PayPal.

So, how have you girls been satisfying your polish cravings? Is there any e-tailer you'd recommend?

Buongiorno a tutte, purtroppo ho il computer in assistenza, ed è per questo che non sto riuscendo a postare di recente. Dopo mesi di problemi la scheda madre ha deciso che non ne poteva più, quindi i tecnici l'hanno dovuta ordinare, promettendo di aver pronto il pc entro la prossima settimana. Speriamo che si sbrighino, ho tante cose da farvi vedere, appena possibile.

Nel frattempo vi parlerò di 8ty8beauty, il negozio online dal quale mi sto rifornendo dopo l'aumento delle spese di spedizione da parte di TransDesign.
Dal sito è possibile ordinare China Glaze, Color Club, CND, Orly, Savina oltre a base coats, top coats e trattamenti di varie marche.
Per email si possono ordinare anche OPI a $4.48 ed Essie a $4.00.
Per quanto riguarda le spedizioni internazionali i prezzi sono questi:

Il costo minimo della spedizione è di $16.00 e si possono ordinare fino a 6 smalti – USPS Global Priority.
Se si ordinano da 7 a 12 smalti il costo della spedizione è $32.00.

Tenete a mente questo listino quando riempite il carrello, dal momento che le spese di spedizione internazionali non vengono calcolate quando si fa l'ordine. Al checkout ci viene chiesto di inserire le informazioni personali e il numero di carta di credito ogni volta che si fa un ordine: non si può creare un account con i nostri dati, quindi ogni ordine è come se fosse il primo.
Una volta inviato l'ordine di solito entro 1 o 2 giorni si riceve una fattura con la cifra che è stata prelevata dalla carta (il totale degli smalti che era stato calcolato al momento dell'ordine più le spese di spedizione, che è facile calcolare con la tabella sopra, quindi non dovrebbe essere una sorpresa quanto è stato prelevato.)
La USPS Priority si è dimostrata veloce ed affidabile: di solito non ci vogliono più di 20 giorni perchè il pacco arrivi sano e salvo.
Per quanto riguarda l'imballaggio gli smalti vengono messi in scatoline da 3, poi avvolti in carta di giornale ed infine infilati in una di quelle buste di cartone della USPS.

Concludendo quindi devo dire che avrei preferito che le cose non cambiassero in quel di TransDesign, dal momento che spedire fino a 8 smalti con la USPS Priority costava $18, però 8ty8beauty non è male come fonte alternativa di smalto, se non vi dispiace non poter pagare con PayPal.
E voi come vi state procurando i nostri "tesssori"? Avete qualche negozio da consigliare?

Layla Graffiti Top Coat

Hi there! Today I'm going to show you the new Layla Graffiti Top Coat in black and red. As I mentioned in this post this is the year of the Crackle comeback, and it's being introduced here in Italy for the first time this year. Layla has a range of 6 colors: white, black, red, yellow, pink, red and blue for about 7/11€ each.
I've been sent the black and red ones to show you, so I tried out different color combinations and finishes (glossy with top coat or matte without it).

Buon pomeriggio! Oggi ho per voi degli swatches del Layla Graffiti Top Coat nei colori rosso e nero. Come vi avevo già detto in questo post introduttivo, quest'anno è tornato di moda il Crackle lacquer, (persino la OPI ne produrrà uno) ed è arrivato anche da noi. La Layla ha una linea di 6 colori: bianco, nero, giallo, rosa, rosso e blu che potete trovare nelle profumerie e negozi specializzati per prezzi che variano dai 7 agli 11€. La Layla è stata così gentile da fornirmi questi due colori da swatchare e io mi sono sbizzarrita con gli abbinamenti e i finish (lucido con una passata di top coat e matte al naturale).

MAC Bad Fairy

Hi there! Today I'm finally posting swatches of the last polish from the Venomous Villains collection, MAC Bad Fairy. Once again this can be described as packed with shimmer, it goes from red to fuchsia to copper. I think it's the least original of the three, it's pretty, but it's not unique enough to deserve its place in this collection.
I used the usual 3 coats and top coat.

Buon pomeriggio! Oggi riesco finalmente a postare gli swatches dell'ultimo smalto dalla Venomous Villains collection, MAC Bad Fairy. Come gli altri due anche questo contiene microglitter effetto shimmer, in questo caso che va dal rosso al fucsia al ramato. Rispetto agli altri due credo sia il meno originale, pur essendo un bello smalto non è abbastanza unico per essere degno di questa collezione.
Negli swatches ho dato le solite 3 passate e il top coat.

Hi again, hope everyone's having a great week end! :)
Today I have another MAC Venomous Villains polish for you: it's MAC Mean & Green!
Just like Formidable! this polish is filled with shimmer and goes from olive green to purple, to gold/bronze and even pink. This is definitely my favorite of the three polishes of the collection, because of its uniqueness (okay, it's a dupe for Orly Space Cadet, but it's not like I own that one :P).
To get full coverage I used the usual 3 coats and added top coat.

Oggi ho per voi Mac Mean & Green, sempre dalla MAC Venomous Villains collection. Proprio come Formidable! questo smalto è pieno di microglitter shimmerosi che gli fanno cambiare colore da verde oliva al viola, dal bronzo/oro persino al rosa. Questo è sicuramente il mio preferito dei 3 di questa collezione, dal momento chè è unico (ok, è identico ad Orly Space Cadet, ma non ce l'ho, quindi è unico :P). Per coprire bene il tutto ho usato le solite 3 passate e poi aggiunto 1 passata di top coat.

MAC Formidable!

Hi again! Today I have swatches of MAC Formidable! for you. This polish is part of the MAC Venomous Villains collection and belongs to Maleficent's 'section'. It's been said before, but I have to say it again: I really wish they'd put a little more effort in designing the bottles and boxes for the polishes. I mean, yes, they're special enough on their own not to need much else, still it's not fair that they look just like any regular MAC polish. *pouts*
That is pretty much the only complaint I have, since all three polishes have flawless formula and are quite pretty and unique.
Formidable! is the darkest of the three polishes, a deep plum base with green/blue/teal and pink shimmer. It's supposed to be a dupe for Orly Galaxy Girl, which I do not own.

Buona sera! Lo smalto di oggi è MAC Formidable! dalla sezione di Malefica della MAC Venomous Villains collection che in Italia è uscita il 1 Ottobre nei MAC Pro Stores.
Vi avevo detto che vi avrei raccontato come ho avuto i miei tre smalti e facendola breve vi dico che li ho ordinati allo store di Roma per e-mail 15 giorni prima. Il 29 settembre verso le 14 il corriere Bartolini mi si presenta sotto casa senza aver avvisato prima (cosa che avevo chiesto espressamente perchè ai miei turni piace cambiare) e mi consegna il pacco dietro pagamento di 42.50€ (12.5 a smalto + 5 spedizione).
Aprendo la busta di plastica (non un pacco) che contiene gli smalti vedo che sono stati infilati in una mini shopper MAC dentro le loro belle scatoline col buco e senza altro materiale di protezione. Risultato? La boccetta di Bad Fairy è distrutta e lo smalto ha impiastricciato anche gli altri due. Telefonando immediatamente al negozio li convinco a sostituirmeli tutti e tre. Il responsabile voleva mandarmeli di nuovo via corriere, io ci sono andata direttamente di persona riportandogli il primo pacco e prendendo quelli che a suo dire erano gli ultimi 3 pezzi disponibili. Questo dovrebbe significare che hanno venduto tutta la collezione già prima che fosse lanciata e che gli espositori che hanno messo dal 1 Ottobre vendevano fumo?
Questo me lo dovete dire voi perchè io francamente ne ho abbastanza per un bel po' della MAC, specialmente del Pro Store di Via del Babuino, che continua a meritarsi la sua pessima reputazione.
Aggiungendo 5,60€ di mezzi per arrivare al centro di Roma al totale qui sopra diciamo che mi sono proprio costati cari questi smalti. Magra consolazione è un rossetto datomi dal responsabile per 'farsi perdonare'. Non usando rossetti, specialmente di quel colore lì, lo terrò in un cassetto fino al prossimo giveaway, non saprei che altro farmene.
Comunque, Formidable! come gli altri 2 è uno shimmer pieno di microglitter ad effetto multicromatico, che va dal blu al rosso bruciato passando per il verde ed il rosa. Il colore cambia a seconda della luce e della posizione della mano ed è molto brillante. E' identico a Orly Galaxy Girl, che alla fine costerà più o meno uguale ma è più facile da reperire.
Ultima lamentela: ma non potevano mettere Maleficent da qualche parte sulle boccette o sulla scatola, che invece è la solita scatola nera MAC? Bah...

Nars Zulu 2010

Hi again! I'm back with a faboulous polish for today's post. I'm talking about Nars Zulu! NARS finally decided bring this blackened green back in their Vintage Nail Polish Collection 2010. I got mine on the NARS EU site for 27.5€ shipping included and got it in the mail after a few days.
I have to say the application of this polish is not easy. It's a jelly and it's thin, so you'll want to use many of coats, but what about the color? After the second coat you can't even tell it's green anymore. What you need here is a steady hand to make your coats as even as possible on the first few coats.

Sono finalmente tornata all'opera! Lo smalto di oggi è Nars Zulu, che per molti anni è stato la pietra di paragone con cui si giudicavano tutti gli altri smalti verdi così scuri da essere praticamente neri. Quest'anno finalmente la Nars ha deciso di includere Zulu nella Vintage Nail Polish Collection 2010 ed io non ho potuto fare a meno di ordinarlo appena è uscito sul sito europeo, per la modica cifra di 27.5€ spedizione inclusa.
Per quanto possa essere famosissimo ed osannato come il miglior verde scuro della storia questo smalto è abbastanza difficile da applicare. Non è adatto a chi ha poca pazienza o poco tempo da dedicare alla manicure, visto che essendo un 'jelly' è decisamente liquido ed ha bisogno di molte passate per ottenere un colore omogeneo. Il problema è che più strati si formano e più scuro diventa il colore, finchè non diventa praticamente nero.
L'applicazione ideale sarebbe con mano ferma che riesce a coprire bene tutta l'unghia in due passate. Io ci ho provato, mi sono fermata a due quando ancora si vedeva il verde per le prime foto, poi ho dato 4 passate + top coat per farvi vedere la differenza.

Nars Zulu, MAC Bad Fairy, Formidable! and Mean & Green

Hi everyone, I'm sorry I haven't been very active lately, the sun hasn't been out much and I finally gave in and ordered a light box for this winter... Until it gets here I'll have to find a way to swatch in what little sun we get while working most mornings until past noon.
I have a TON of stuff to show you, though! Layla has been so kind to send me a couple of their Graffiti Top Coats and half a dozen Ceramic Effects to swatch, and of course I couldn't NOT order Nars Zulu the second the EU website listed it. And what about the MAC Venomous Villains collection? Well, I couldn't pass that one up either, so I had the MAC Pro Store in Rome ship it to me (I'll tell you the full story later). I also have 2 swaps to tell you about... And emails to answer... Aarrgh, I need help! :P
Please forgive the rant, I'll post more as soon as I can!

Ciao a tutte, so di non essere stata molto presente ultimamente e mi scuso... Il sole non si vede molto spesso di questi tempi e mi viene difficile conciliare il lavoro fin dopo mezzogiorno con quei 5 minuti di luce che mi rimangono in balcone quando rientro. Per questo motivo mi sono trovata costretta ad ordinare una light box per fare le foto con la luce artificiale. Era una cosa che non avrei voluto fare ma l'unica alternativa era smettere di swatchare fino alla primavera prossima, e non mi pareva il caso. Quindi ora non mi resta che aspettare che arrivi la malefica light box e cercare di fare il possibile nel frattempo.
Comunque ho una MAREA di cose da farvi vedere! La Layla è stata così gentile da fornirmi un paio di Graffiti Top Coats e sei Ceramic Effects da swatchare ed ovviamente non potevo fare a meno di ordinare Nars Zulu l'istante stesso in cui è stato messo in vendita sul sito europeo. Altra cosa che non potevo farmi sfuggire è la collezione MAC Venomous Villains, quindi mi sono fatta spedire tutti e tre gli smalti dal MAC Pro Store di Roma (esperienza che vi racconterò presto).
Poi ho anche 2 swaps da mostrarvi e tante email a cui devo ancora rispondere.

PUPA Baroque Couture Autunno 2010

901 Smoky Brown, 900 Emerald Green, 206 Mistery Pink

Hi everyone, today's post is about the PUPA Baroque Couture Collection for Fall 2010. Pupa is an Italian brand that's quite high end and expensive, so I don't usually buy their stuff, but this collection really caught my eye, so I decided to splurge and get all 3 polishes.
The colors are 901 Smoky Brown, 900 Emerald Green and 206 Mistery Pink and they are minis, only 5 ml for 5.90€.

Formula-wise these are small gems: they apply smoothly and are really pigmented, I'd dare to call them one-coaters. I did 2 just to be sure.

Ciao a tutte, il post di oggi riguarda la collezione Baroque Couture della PUPA per l'autunno 2010. Di solito non amo molto spendere 5.90€ per 5 miseri ml di smalto, ma stavolta i colori mi piacevano tutti, così mi sono buttata e li ho presi. I colori sono 901 Smoky Brown, 900 Emerald Green e 206 Mistery Pink. Devo dire che non mi sono pentita dell'acquisto. Saranno anche piccoli, ma i colori sono belli, la stesura è da sogno e sono talmente coprenti che basterebbe anche 1 sola passata.

Smoky Brown is a light taupe, a shade lighter than Chanel Particuliére, but they're really close, as you can see in the second pic below:

Crackle lacquer: presto in Italia

Care lettrici, il post di oggi riguarda il Crackle lacquer e la sua evoluzione dal 1999 a oggi! A big sorry to the non Italian speaking readers, I can't bring myself to translate this whole thing into English, you can use Google Translate to get a sense of what this is all about, or just look at the pics/click on the links. ;)

Cos'è il Crackle lacquer? E' uno smalto speciale che va applicato sopra un altro colore che già avete sull'unghia.
L'effetto che si ottiene è quello di 'crepe' nel Crackle che lasciano vedere il colore sottostante. Potete scegliere qualsiasi colore e finish per lo smalto sottostante, gli abbinamenti sono infiniti. ;)

Basta quindi comportarsi come per una normale manicure, fermandosi al punto in cui applichereste il top coat, lucido o matte che sia. Nota: Il Crackle non si attacca affatto sul top coat, quindi non mettetelo.
A questo punto, quando lo smalto 'base' è quasi asciutto, si dà una passata generosa di Crackle ed il gioco è fatto. Nel giro di 5 minuti l'effetto sarà completo.
Sta a voi decidere dare una mano di top coat a Crackle asciutto. Potete confrontare che aspetto ha prima e dopo il top coat nelle foto che vedrete tra poco.

Storia del Crackle lacquer: Fu prodotto per la prima volta nel 1999 dalla CoverGirl Cosmetics e secondo il comunicato stampa che ne annunciò il lancio pare che l'invenzione del Crackle sia stata accidentale, una scoperta fatta nel tentativo di inventare qualcos'altro. Il brevetto è registrato sotto la dicitura "Nail Enamel Composition Having Decorative Appearance".

Layla Ceramic Effect 12

Hi there! Today's polish is another lovely shade from the Layla Ceramic Effect line, number 12. You might remember I showed you number 16, and this has the same principle: a gorgeous purple shimmer in a grey-plum base. I'd say this reminds me a bit of Chanel Paradoxal, though I can't compare them because I didn't like Paradoxal enough to drop 20€ on it.
The swatches are the usual 3 coats, no top coat.

Buona domenica! Lo smalto di oggi fa parte della linea Layla Ceramic Effect ed è il numero 12. Forse ricorderete il primo Ceramic Effect che vi ho mostrato, il numero 16. Il principio è lo stesso, ma 12 ha un bellissimo effetto shimmer viola in una base grigio-prugna. Azzarderei un paragone tra 12 e Chanel Paradoxal, anche se non posso verificare perchè Paradoxal non mi ha attirato abbastanza da spenderci 20€.
Gli swatches, come al solito, 3 passate senza top coat.

Arriva in Italia Rimmel Matte Finish top coat

Hi again, today's post is about Rimmel Matte Finish top coat, which I guess is the first mattifying top coat to be sold in Italian drugstores.
It's sold as a free sample with one of their polishes from the Lycra Pro line. The colors you can choose from are 284 Royal Rose, 296 Guest Star, 325 Hot Gossip, 397 Beige Babe, 404 Icon Style, 410 Trend Spotting and 416 Night Flight. I picked Beige Babe and for 7.90€ I brought home a nice 12 ml light brown/taupe and a 12 ml bottle of matte top coat.

Ciao a tutte! Il post di oggi riguarda quello che credo sia il primo matte top coat ad essere venduto nelle profumerie italiane: Rimmel Matte Finish top coat. E' venduto come campione gratuito all'acquisto di uno dei loro smalti della linea Lycra Pro. I colori tra cui si può scegliere sono 284 Royal Rose, 296 Guest Star, 325 Hot Gossip, 397 Beige Babe, 404 Icon Style, 410 Trend Spotting and 416 Night Flight. Io ho scelto Beige Babe e per 7.90€ mi sono portata a casa 12 ml di un bel marroncino/taupe e 12 ml di matte top coat.
Per chi non lo sapesse, il matte top coat, al contrario del top coat normale (ovvero il fissante che si mette sopra lo smalto colorato per lucidarlo e farlo durare di più) rende lo smalto sottostante opaco.
L'Upim della Stazione Termini aveva questo display "fai da te", dal quale siamo noi a dover scartare lo smalto colorato e poi prendere una boccetta di mattificante.

Mentre nella profumeria all'interno della OVS di via Tuscolana avevano dei pacchettini più carini:

I really think it is. I used it over Beige Babe (index finger) then did the middle with Essie MAY, the ring with China Glaze Matte Magic and my pinky with a really old matte top coat, Maybelline Matte Maker (I have like 5 bottles of it, if anyone wants one).
I can't see a difference between the Rimmel top coat, MAY and Matte Magic, they all leave an identical finish, they even change the base color in the same way. Matte Maker is less effective, leaves more of a satin finish.

Ma è alla pari di Essie Matte About You e compagnia bella? Penso davvero di sì. L'ho usato sopra Beige Babe (sull'indice), confrontandolo con Essie Matte About You (sul medio), China Glaze Matte Magic (anulare) e Maybelline Matte Maker (mignolo).
Non vedo differenze tra il top coat Rimmel, MAY e Matte Magic, lasciano tutte un finish identico, alterando persino il colore di base nella stessa maniera. Matte Maker è meno efficace, lasciando un finish più satinato.

Se dovessi avvistarlo da qualche parte, come Acqua&Sapone, a un prezzo inferiore vi farò sapere, comunque mi pare un sostituto abbastanza economico, che dite? Almeno finchè non arriverà quello della Essence. ;)

Hi everyone, today's polish is another great microglitter from KIKO, number 255. It's a dark purple base packed with rainbow microglitter. I used 3 coats, no top coat.

Hi everyone, today's polish is KIKO 241 'Rosso Lampone Multicolour' ('Multicolour Raspberry Red'), a lovely pink jelly with a ton of rainbow microglitter. It's a bit sheer so it needs at least 3 coats for coverage.

Avendo una consistenza tendente al 'jelly', ovvero 'gelatinosa' che è più liquida e meno pigmentata di una 'creme' ha bisogno di almeno 3 passate per coprire uniformemente l'unghia.

KIKO 246 'Mirtillo Rosso Scuro Microglitter'

Hello dears, today's polish is KIKO 246 'Mirtillo Rosso Scuro Microglitter' ('Dark Red Blueberry Microglitter'). As the name says in too many words, this is a dark red-purple microglitter. The formula is a little on the thick side, it could benefit from a few drops of thinner, or you could apply thin multiple coats.
I didn't apply top coat over it because I like the slightly gritty appearance of a glitter polish (like in this post), though I know this could shine beautifully with a coat of Seche. As usual swatches are 3 coats.

Buon pomeriggio! Lo smalto di oggi è KIKO 246 'Mirtillo Rosso Scuro Microglitter'. Come dice il nome è un microglitter rosso-viola scuro. La consistenza può diventare un po' troppo densa, quindi consiglio un paio di gocce di diluente oppure di passare diversi strati sottili consecutivi.
Non ho passato il top coat perché a volte mi piace l'effetto un pò 'rozzo' che fa un glitter senza top coat (come in questo caso), anche se so che con una passata di Seche brillerebbe che è una meraviglia. Come al solito gli swatches sono di 3 passate.

Layla Ceramic Effect 16

Hi everyone, I know I promised you more KIKO swatches but I just found a shop that sells Layla cosmetics, another popular Italian brand, for almost half the regular price and picked a polish so gorgeous I couldn't wait to show you.
It's number 16 from the Ceramic Effect collection.
Its striking feature is the pink-purple shimmer in the light grey base that's noticeable indoors and has some serious sparkle in sunlight.
I used 3 thick coats and top coat for this mani, which I'm still wearing and is not showing signs of wear after 3 days.

Ciao a tutte, lo so che in programma c'erano altri swatches KIKO, ma venerdì con la colleguzza Simona siamo andate in un negozio a Morena (RM) che aveva gli smalti Layla praticamente a metà prezzo. Non potendo resistere ho subito puntato il numero 16 della collezione Ceramic Effect e devo dire che non avrei potuto scegliere di meglio. La sua qualità più interessante è il luccichio rosa-viola che è evidente nella base grigio chiaro anche al chiuso e che alla luce del sole brilla che è un piacere.
Per questa manicure, che ho su tutt'ora e che dopo 3 giorni ancora tiene bene, ho usato 3 strati consistenti e una passata di top coat.

KIKO 296 'Verde Prato'

Hi everyone, I hope you're feeling better than I am, I have a headache :(
Thankfully it's the start of the week end so I can unwind a bit.
I chose an easy polish to describe for today: it's KIKO 296 'Verde Prato' ('Field Green'), a light green creme.
I have a fair number of greens and can say this is an unique shade in its simplicity and it makes a great base and stamping polish for Konading.
(Old) swatches are 2 coats, no top coat.

Buon pomeriggio! Per fortuna la settimana è finita ed è iniziato il week end... Ho un mal di testa notevole, causa della scelta di uno smalto facile da descrivere per oggi: KIKO 296 'Verde Prato', un verde chiaro creme.
Di smalti verdi ne ho i cassetti pieni, ma ci credete se vi dico che nella sua semplicità 296 è unico? Non ne ho un altro simile. Si presta anche bene come colore su cui stampare il Konad o come base.
In questi (vecchi) swatches: 2 passate, niente top coat.

Passate un buon fine settimana, ci rivediamo lunedì con altri KIKO. ;)

Hi again! Today's polish is KIKO 245 'Rubino Scuro Perlato', which translates to 'Dark Pearly Ruby'.

It's a dark plum base with an amazing gold/red shimmer that sparkles in the sunlight. Application was smooth and easy and so was the formula. The swatches are 3coats as usual and top coat. :)

KIKO 300 'Verde Malachite Perlato' + KIKO 270 'Paillettes Aqua Sparkle T.'

Hello, dears. Today I have 3 'looks' for you. The first swatches are of 3 coats (plus top coat) of KIKO 300. This shimmery blue is quite beautiful on its own, but I decided to add a coat of KIKO 270 to it. I have shown you 270 (it was formerly numbered 170) before, and I often use it over dark colors, especially since the whole exagonal paillettes and small glitter in polish trend started (see the gorgeous polishes from Lippmann Collection).
I then mattified it with a coat of China Glaze Matte Magic.
I really love the final look, I'll have to wear it for a real mani soon!

Buonasera, care lettrici. Oggi ho un bel po' di foto per voi. Nelle prime vedete 3 passate di KIKO 300 + top coat. Poi ho aggiunto uno strato di KIKO 270, che uso spesso per dare 'un tocco in più' ai colori scuri, specialmente da quando Deborah Lippmann ha lanciato lo smalto con paillettes esagonali e glitter. Non contenta ho deciso di 'mattificare' il tutto con China Glaze Matte Magic.
Questo look finale mi piace proprio, lo dovrò rifare per una vera manicure!

Hi again, today's polish is KIKO 278 'Viola Orchidea Microglitter', which I guess translates to 'Orchid Purple Microglitter'.
This is really close to Zoya Mimi from the Sparkle Collection, maybe a touch pinker and lighter.
The application and formula are great, this polish really sparkles in the sun!
Swatches are 3 coats and top coat.

Assomiglia moltissimo a Zoya Mimi dalla Sparkle Collection, anche se probabilmente 278 tende più al rosa ed è leggermente più chiaro.
Applicarlo è stato facilissimo, anche facendo le mie solite 3 passate... Basta soltanto aspettare che si asciughi un pochino il precedente prima di passare un altro strato. Poi ho lucidato il tutto con il top coat. Guardate come brilla al sole!

KIKO 267 'Azzurro' + KIKO 298 'Turchese Microglitter'

Good morning! Today's post starts the KIKO brand focus. KIKO is an Italian brand based in Milan and offers a line of 105 nail polishes priced 3.90€ each. They're currently on Summer sale at 1.90€, so I stocked up on some new shades.
The first polish I'm going to show you is KIKO 267, a lovely shimmery light azure-blue. I should have probably been more careful with the brush strokes, since they're slightly visible up close, but they're not noticeable from a distance.

I used 2 coats and top coat. I then layered a coat of KIKO 298, described as a sheer 'turquoise microglitter', over 267.

Ragazze, mi perdonerete se non traduco tutto, ma non credo abbiate bisogno che vi parli della KIKO. ;) Nelle foto vedete prima 2 passate di 267 'Azzurro' + top coat e poi un'ulteriore passata di 298 'Turchese Microglitter'.

Hi again, today's polish is American Apparel Factory Grey, a medium grey creme. I would cathegorize it between China Glaze Recycle (it's darker) and H&M Miss Stone Heart that's a bit lighter.
Once again, American Apparel has flawless application/brush/formula.
I used 3 coats, no top coat.

Di nuovo ciao a tutte, lo smalto di oggi è American Apparel Factory Grey, un grigio creme mediamente scuro, lo piazzerei tra China Glaze Recycle che è un po' più scuro e H&M Miss Stone Heart, leggermente più chiaro.
Come al solito la American Apparel si applica benissimo, ha un pennellino magnifico e una consistenza ideale.
Ho dato 3 passate, niente top coat.

Hi everyone, today's polish is American Apparel Office, a mint creme. There's not much to say about this one, the color is pleasant but considering the past season not the most original, usual application and formula aspects were
consistent with the brand, meaning they're excellent.

All in all this would be a great choice if you were looking for your first mint creme, but if you already have 8 of them you could consider skipping this one. :)
Swatches are 3 coats + top coat.

Buongiorno, lo smalto di oggi è American Apparel Office, l'ennesimo verde menta creme. Non ho molto da dire su questo smalto, il colore è bello ma vista la passata stagione non è esattamente il più originale
I soliti aspetti 'tecnici' quali la stesura e la consistenza sono eccellenti, come ci si aspetta da uno smalto di questo brand.

Tutto considerato questo smalto sarebbe un'ottima scelta se state cercando il vostro primo verde menta, ma se di verde menta ne avete già 8 potreste pensare di fare a meno di questo qui. :)

American Apparel Peacock

Hi again, I hope you're having a nice week end. :)
Today I bring you pics of American Apparel Peacock. You might remember I've blogged about this polish before in this post, where you can see CND Limelight layered over it.
This time it's on its own, though, and I still think it's one of my favorite polishes. Application is smooth and easy, the color is gorgeous.
I also really love the brushes on these bottles, they're long and thin and work perfectly on my not so wide nails.

Swatches are 3 coats, no top coat.

Forse ricorderete un post precedente su questo smalto, nel quale potete vederlo con uno strato di CND Limelight sopra.
Questa volta è da solo e penso ancora che sia uno dei miei smalti preferiti.
E' facile da stendere e il colore è fantastico. Il pennellino è un altro 10 e lode, è lungo e fino ed avendo le unghie non molto larghe è perfetto.
Gli swatches sono di 3 passate di Peacock, niente top coat.

Hi everyone, I've been swatching like crazy and I'm excited to start another brand focus, this time on American Apparel polishes.

They can be purchased through your regional American Apparel online store for $6 or 7,50€ a pop, or in packs of 3 for $15 or 18€.

Shipping to the EU from the EU shop costs a flat rate of 8€. You buy 1 bottle you pay 8€, you buy 10 polishes you still pay 8€.

At the moment I own 5 bottles, though I'd like to get my hands on Malibu Green.

Peacock, Office, Mouse, Factory Grey, Dynasty.

Buongiorno a tutte, mi sono data parecchio da fare e sono felice di iniziare un nuovo brand focus, questa volta sugli smalti American Apparel.

Li potete acquistare dal sito europeo per 7,50€ l'uno, oppure in combinazioni da 3 a 18€.

La spedizione per l'Europa attraverso UPS (quindi velocissima) viene una cifra fissa di 8€, sia che compriate 1 smalto sia che ne compriate 10.

Al momento ho 5 smalti American Apparel, anche se prima o poi spero di mettere le mani sul nuovo Malibu Green. Di certo non mi metto a spendere gli 8€ di spedizione per 1 smalto solo.

Nfu-Oh 61

Hi there, today's post is about an awesome nail polish, Nfu-Oh 61.
It's a silver holo with a serious holo effect.
I layered 2 coats of 61 over Nfu-Oh Aqua Base, which I got because I'd heard great things about, and I really have to say the holo polishes really do go on smoother on this base coat. But then again you could just use a rubberized base coat and I'm pretty sure it would do the job just fine.

Where did I buy the Nfu-Oh polishes? I bought them from Viis Ilusalong. The holos are 8.35 EUR, the flakes are 7.05 EUR, the Aqua Base 5.15 EUR. They also have cuticle oils, glitters and pastels. Delivery to Europe was about 10 EUR for 10 polishes.

Buongiorno a tutte! Il post di oggi riguarda Nfu-Oh 61, uno smalto davvero olografico argentato.
Ho passato 2 strati di 61 sulla Nfu-Oh Aqua Base, comprata perché ne avevo sentito decantare le lodi un pò ovunque. Devo dire che facilita la stesura degli smalti olografici, ma credo che una qualsiasi base effetto gomma farebbe un lavoro decente.

Dove comprare gli smalti Nfu-Oh? Personalmente ho utilizzato Viis Ilusalong. Gli holos vengono 8.35 EUR, i flakes 7.05 EUR e l'Aqua Base 5.15 EUR. Hanno anche olii per cuticole, glitters e pastelli. La spedizione in Italia mi è costata poco più di 10 EUR per 10 smalti.

Water decals from Viva La Nails

Hi everyone, today's post is about 2 manis I did with the water decals I got in my Viva La Nails free blogger sample package.

The first one has "Blue" from the H&M Summer Nails pack as a base and the blue flowers from the "COL08" decals.

The second mani has P2 Gorgeous! as a base and the decals from the "COL09" set.

I really loved the designs and the result of the decals, they're an easy way to add lovely details that look professionally done.
I personally suck at nail art, I can't even tell what half of the stuff in the pack is for (I would have appreciated labels on the little bags), but I would buy more decals, and maybe I will once I use all the samples.

Buongiorno, il post di oggi riguarda 2 manicure che ho realizzato con le water decals che Viva La Nails ha incluso nel blogger sample package gratuito che ho ricevuto quasi 2 settimane dopo averlo richiesto al link sopra.

La prima ha "Blue" dal H&M Summer Nails pack come base e i fiori blu dal set "COL08".

Per la seconda ho usato P2 Gorgeous! come base e le decals del set "COL09".

I disegni e il risultato delle decals mi sono piaciuti moltissimo. Sono un facile e divertente modo di aggiungere dei deliziosi disegni sulle unghie.

Personalmente sono proprio negata nella nail art, non so neanche cosa fare con la metà della roba che mi hanno mandato (avrei preferito che le bustine avessero un'etichetta che ne specificasse il contenuto), ma acquisterei altre decals, e forse quando saranno finite quelle che ho lo farò.

Hi all, this post concludes the Eyeko special! It's about the lovely Eyeko Vintage Polish "for Elegant nails", a 'Tiffany'-like mint cream.
This might be my favourite Eyeko, since I've loved mints even before they became the huge trend they are now.
This was 3 coats + top coat (look at how shiny the pics in shade are!)

This is all I have to share from Eyeko, so I'll have to come up for something to do next... But first you should keep your eyes peeled for my 100 followers giveaway! I am going to work on it this week and should be able to start it soon! :) *bounces with excitement*

Questo è probabilmente il mio smalto Eyeko preferito, visto che il verde menta è stata la mia passione anche prima che spopolasse come ha fatto nella stagione passata.
Negli swatch le solite 3 passate + 1 di top coat (guardate come è lucido nelle foto all'ombra!)

Today's pick is Eyeko Lilac Polish "for Lovely nails", a lilac creme that's lovely indeed. It was easy to apply and opaque in 2 coats. I applied a coat of Essence topcoat to shine it up even more.

Eyeko Tea Rose Polish

Hi everyone, how are you doing? :)
Today's polish is Eyeko Tea Rose Polish "for Country Nails".
I have to say I was never much of a pink lover, but I love this one to pieces! It's a perfect dusty pink, very proper and imo much more 'ladylike' than Posh Polish.
The formula was manageable and application was ok, you still might want to add a bit of thinner to it.
I used the usual 3 coats, no top coat.

Non sono mai stata una grande amante del rosa, ma questo colore mi piace proprio!
E' un perfetto rosa antico, appropriato in ogni situazione e a mio parere molto più 'ladylike' di Posh Polish.
La consistenza non era tanto male, tutto ok con l'applicazione. Potete sempre aggiungerci qualche goccia di diluente.
Come al solito 3 passate, ma niente top coat.

Eyeko Vampira Polish

Happy monday everyone! Eyeko Vampira Polish "for Gothic Nails" is the polish du jour.
The concept is not revolutionary, China Glaze did it first with Lubu Heels and then many others followed, but it's well executed, with bright red glitter that stands out in a lovely black base.
The application was painless, I did my usual 3 coats, and then shined it all up with 1 coat of top coat. I can't say much about removal, I didn't even let it dry before moving on to the next polish to swatch, but I suppose it wouldn't kill you with its "glittery vampire fangs". ;)

Il concetto di mettere del glitter rosso in una base nera non è rivoluzionario: la China Glaze l'ha fatto per prima con Lubu Heels e poi molti altri hanno seguito l'esempio, ma devo dire che Vampira è fatto molto bene, il glitter è di un rosso acceso che non passa inosservato nella base nera.
Metterlo è stato indolore, ho dato le mie solite 3 passate e poi ho lucidato il tutto con 1 passata di top coat.
Non avendolo neanche fatto asciugare prima di passare al successivo smalto da swatchare non so dirvi cosa succede quando lo si toglie, ma suppongo non vi ucciderebbe con i suoi "canini da vampiro sbrilluccicoso". ;)

Sinful Colors arriva alla Coin

Buon pomeriggio a tutte! Oggi ho fatto una piacevole scoperta: alla Coin del centro commerciale Cinecittà 2 di Roma hanno uno stand della Sinful Colors con colori classici e colori aggiunti da poco alla linea. Il prezzo è accettabile, 4.90€. Ne ho approfittato per prendere Daddy's Girl che è out of stock su Cherry Culture da sempre e You Just Wait per mamma, che sta scoprendo lo smalto alle mani. :)
Se qualche lettrice li avesse avvistati altrove non esiti a lasciare un commento!

Non potevo non documentare questo evento, meno male che esistono i cellulari con fotocamera! Cliccate per ingrandire e leggere nome e numero degli smalti. ;)

Eyeko Posh Polish

Today's polish is Eyeko Posh Polish "for Ladylike Nails", a taupe creme. It applies well and is opaque in 2 coats. I didn't apply top coat over this one, but it's shiny enough for me as it is.
The color is a popular one this year, yet I really don't mind adding this one to the taupe pile.
If you're wondering how similar it is to Chanel Particulière just click on the "taupe" tag at the bottom of this post and see for yourself. :)

Lo smalto di oggi è Eyeko Posh Polish "for Ladylike Nails" (per unghie da signora), un color taupe cremoso, senza alcun riflesso o microglitter.
Il taupe è andato e va ancora parecchio, ormai praticamente ogni compagnia ne ha prodotto almeno uno... Che dite, a voi piace questo colore? A me devo dire di sì. ;)

Posh si applica bene ed è perfetto in 2 passate. Anche senza top coat in questo swatch è decentemente lucido.

Eyeko Cosmic Polish

Hi everyone, I just got back from an intense shopping spree. I scoured 3 shops for the new Essence LE collection, Into the Wild, and still I was only able to find 2 of the 3 polishes I was looking for. I also stopped at KIKO and H&M, so I have a lot of goodies to share with you soon.
Today's post is not about me, though, it's about Eyeko Cosmic Polish.
It's an amazing mix of a black base and tons of rainbow microglitter. Since the glitter is so small the polish is smooth, might be a bit too thick, like all Eyeko polishes tend to be afer a while, but it's nothing a drop of diluent won't fix.
Removing this isn't harder than removing your average microglitter polish.
Pics are 3 coats + Essence top coat.

Buon pomeriggio! Sono appena tornata a casa dopo un intenso pomeriggio di shopping, durante il quale ho perlustrato 3 Oviesse cercando la nuova Essence LE collection, Into the Wild. Purtroppo ho trovato solo 2 dei tre smalti che mi interessavano, mi manca ancora Zulu. :(
Mi sono fermata anche da KIKO ed H&M, quindi ho preso un bel pò di cosine. ^^

Il post di oggi non è su di me, però, ma riguarda Eyeko Cosmic Polish, un fantastico mix di microglitter arcobaleno in una base nera.
Dal momento che il glitter è così piccolo, lo smalto è molto liscio da asciutto. Potrebbe essere poco fluido, come tutti gli smalti Eyeko tendono a diventare dopo un pò, ma non è nulla che una goccia di diluente non riesca a curare.
Togliere questo smalto non è più difficile che togliere un comune microglitter.

Hi there! I'm starting the Eyeko brand focus with Indigo, a dark shimmery blue that sparkles in the sunlight.
Application was pretty decent, no complaints here. I used my usual 3 coats and Essence top coat for this swatch.

Eccomi di nuovo qui, ad aprire il brand focus Eyeko con Indigo, un blu scuro microglitteroso che risplende alla luce.
La stesura è accettabile, non ho nulla di cui lamentarmi. Per questo swatch ho usato le mie solite 3 passate e il top coat Essence.

Here I am again starting another brand focus. ^^
This time I chose Eyeko, a British brand that currently offers a range of 10 'new' nail polishes that retail for £3.50 (4.00€, $5.50) each.
You can find their policy on shipping here.

I currently own 8 of their polishes, I'm missing Nude, Petite and Coral Polish and have a shade that's not listed anymore, named Purple Polish.

Ed eccomi ad iniziare il prossimo brand focus.
Questa volta ho scelto Eyeko, un marchio inglese che attualmente offre una gamma di 10 'nuovi' smalti a £3.50 (4.00€, $5.50) l'uno.
La spedizione con Royal Mail standard service verso l'Italia è sempre gratuita ed impiega in media un paio di settimane. Se invece si sceglie la raccomandata Recorded Signed For (Guaranteed Fast Track Service) il prezzo arriva a $7.50 ma si accorciano i tempi di consegna.

Al momento ho 8 smalti Eyeko, mi mancano Nude, Petite e Coral Polish ma ho un colore che non è più sul sito, Purple Polish.

Come per il MASTERPOST ZOYA il nome di ogni smalto sarà un link al post ad esso dedicato, con swatches e recensioni. ;)

Quirius The Arabian Nights + Bundle Monster fauxnad

I recently got my Bundle Monster fauxnad plates and yesterday I decided to try them. I ended up using The Arabian Nights by Quirius (4 coats) as a base and plates BM14 and BM02 with special Konad nail polish in white.
The Arabian Nights needs multiple coats to reach the bottle color, but once you get there it's hard to tell the nails apart from the bottle and the glitter is clearly visible in the black base!

I stamped the 5 little stars from BM14 on all fingers and then added the lips from BM02 on the thumb nails.
I know removing this is probably going to drive me to tears, but it is so worth it while it lasts. ^^
Oh, and I have a lot more Quirius polishes, so expect a brand focus, sooner or later.

Ieri sera ho deciso di provare i miei nuovi Bundle Monster plates, imitazioni dell'originale Konad acquistati su Amazon.com per $21.99 incluse le spese di spedizione.
Ho usato 4 strati di Quirius The Arabian Nights come base e i plates BM14 e BM02 con lo smalto Konad apposito in bianco.
The Arabian Nights ha bisogno di molti strati per avere lo stesso colore della boccetta, ma una volta raggiunto è proprio uguale, il glitter è evidentissimo nonostante la base sia nera.

Dopo aver applicato un top coat e fatto asciugare bene il tutto ho stampinato le 5 stelline del BM14 su tutte le unghie e poi ho aggiunto le labbra del BM02 a quelle dei pollici.

So che togliere il tutto sarà faticoso, ma ne vale veramente la pena, finchè durerà. ^^
Ah, ho parecchi altri smalti Quirius, quindi prima o poi arriverà anche il suo turno per un brand focus. ;)

American Apparel Peacock + Creative Nail Design Limelight

Hi again, today's post is about an awesome polish, American Apparel Peacock and a manicure I did layering Creative Nail Design Limelight over it.
A couple of months ago I ordered 4 American Apparel polishes from the EU website and Peacock was the only one not on backorder, so it arrived on its own, and it was love at first sight.
I have more than a few teals, but none of them applies just like Peacock does. It's so smooth and easy to layer, and the actual color is unbelievably gorgeous.
So, yeah, love.
I didn't take pics of Peacock on its own, though, because at the time I'd just received Creative Nail Design Limelight and was itching to try it on something, so I did.
The result is really pretty, if I say so myself. ^^
Anyway sooner or later I'm going to do an AA brand focus, so you'll get to see Peacock on its own.

In the last 3 pics you'll notice I'm wearing a ring made from the same polishes I'm wearing on my tips...
That's a new hobby, the original idea I believe comes from Tracey of GingerKittyDesigns.
I'm not trying to steal her thunder, I'm not selling what I make, I just believe in "make it yourself if you know how" a lot more than I did when I bought 4 rings from her last year. You can see a picture of me wearing them on her Etsy shop (horrid manicure, I wish I'd changed it before taking the photo).

Buongiorno a tutti, il post di oggi riguarda un eccellente smalto, American Apparel Peacock ed una manicure realizzata passandoci uno strato di Creative Nail Design Limelight sopra.
Ho ordinato questo smalto dal sito europeo della American Apparel, insieme ad altri 3 che però non erano in stock al momento, quindi mi è arrivato da solo ed è stato amore a prima vista.
Non è il mio primo teal, ma nessuno di quelli che ho si stende bene come Peacock.
Ha una consistenza perfetta e stendere più strati è un piacere. Il colore poi è incredibile. Quindi sì, è proprio amore.

Non ho fotografato Peacock da solo, però, perché mi era appena arrivato Creative Nail Design Limelight e non vedevo l'ora di provarlo su qualcosa, così l'ho fatto.
Il risultato non è niente male, anche se me lo dico da sola. ^^
Comunque prima o poi farò un brand focus su American Apparel e vedrete Peacock da solo, in tutta la sua gloria.

Nelle ultime 3 foto noterete che porto un anello realizzato con gli stessi smalti che indosso sulle unghie...
E' un nuovo hobby, l'idea originale sono quasi certa sia venuta a Tracey di GingerKittyDesigns.
Non sto cercando di rubarle l'invenzione, non vendo quello che realizzo, credo soltanto nel "se sai farlo fallo da te" molto più di quanto non facessi lo scorso anno quando ho acquistato 4 anelli da Tracey. Potete vedere una foto di me con indosso tutti e 4 gli anelli sulla sua pagina Etsy (la manicure è tremenda, vorrei aver pensato a cambiarla prima di fare la foto, ma non pensavo l'avrebbe utilizzata per vendere i suoi anelli).

Something borrowed, something blue...

Hi everyone, I know I've been neglecting you and I apologize. I've been away for a few days, a dear friend of mine got married in Venice so I made a short trip of it.
My manicure was inspired by my dress, I basically recreated the design on my nails.

Lippmann Superstar

Today's polish is Lippmann Superstar from the Lippmann "Celebrate" 10th Anniversary Collection set. I have to thank the lovely Monica from wixology for mailing it my way.

The glitter in this particular version of Superstar is shaped differently: it's round instead of the squares of the original version. It's also really gritty, but I liked the look, so when 1 coat of Seche Vite over 2 coats of Superstar wasn't enough to smooth it out I left it be and didn't add more top coat. I guess you'd have to use 2 or more coats to get an even surface.

I really love this polish, it's gorgeous and unique, it makes me feel special (might be the name or the price at which it came). ^^
Removal was a nightmare, as expected, so I suppose you should be psychologically prepared and shouldn't apply it to damaged nails, to avoid ruining them even more.

I don't have pics of the other 2 polishes from this set yet, but I'll eventually post them. Their names are Ruby Red Slippers, a seriously amazing combo of red hexagonal sequins and glitter in a sheer black base and Funky Chunky, which is the black sheep of the three, being a strange mix of small black sequins in a black base.

Lo smalto di oggi è Lippmann Superstar dal set Lippmann "Celebrate" 10th Anniversary Collection. Devo ringraziare Monica di wixology per avermi spedito il set dagli USA.

Curiosità: a differenza di quello nella versione originale, che conteneva glitter quadrato, il glitter di questa versione è circolare.
L'effetto finale è parecchio ruvido, ma questo look diverso dal solito mi piaceva, così quando 1 passata di Seche Vite sopra 2 strati di Superstar non è stata in grado di appianare il tutto, ho lasciato perdere il top coat. Credo che ci vorrebbero 2 o più strati per ottenere un look lucido.

Questo smalto mi piace davvero tanto, è unico e mi fa sentire speciale (potrebbe essere per il nome o per il cartellino del prezzo). ^^
Toglierlo è stato un incubo, come mi aspettavo, quindi bisogna essere preparati psicologicamente e non lo si dovrebbe applicare su unghie rovinate, per non fare ulteriori danni.

Al momento non ho ancora foto degli altri 2 smalti del set, ma prima o poi le posterò.
Si chiamano Ruby Red Slippers, un mix assolutamente divino di paillettes esagonali e glitter di color rosso in una base nera quasi trasparente e Funky Chunky, la pecora nera dei tre, visto che è uno strano intruglio di piccole paillettes nere in una base nera molto pigmentata.

Collistar Viola Glitter

Ok, so I decided to post some random pics I have ready in my special folder, before doing another brand focus.
Today's post is about a fabulous Italian polish, Collistar Viola Glitter. It's a gorgeous dark purple base with fine microglitter in pink and gold. It's not bumpy at all and it applies and wears pretty well with top coat.
If you ever come to Italy and are looking for this brand you'll find it at Sephora or in beauty shops called "profumeria". Price is about 7 to 10€, depending on the shop.

Pics are 3 coats + top coat. ;)

Prima di iniziare un altro brand focus ho deciso di postare alcune foto a caso di manicure fatte in questo mese.
Il post di oggi riguarda un fantastico smalto italiano, Collistar Viola Glitter. Ha una base viola scuro con del microglitter rosa e oro.
Il glitter è molto piccolo, quindi non si sente affatto toccando l'unghia quando lo smalto è asciutto. L'applicazione è facile e dura a lungo se protetto da top coat.
Il mio l'ho acquistato da Sephora della Stazione Termini un mesetto e mezzo fa, credo di averlo pagato circa 10€, ma non ne sono sicurissima.

I saved the best for the very last: today's post is about Zoya Charla from the Summer 2010 Sparkle collection.
Application was similar to Ivanka, it needed at least 3 coats to hide the nail line.
According to Michelle from ALU the upcoming OPI Summer Flutter Collection includes a dupe for Charla named Catch Me In Your Net.

I'm all out of Zoyas to show you now, I need to pick another brand to focus on...
Any suggestions? :P

Ho tenuto il meglio per ultimo: oggi parliamo di Zoya Charla dalla Summer 2010 Sparkle collection.
L'applicazione è simile a quella di Ivanka, servono almeno 3 passate per nascondere la nail line.
Come riporta Michelle di ALU la nuova collezione OPI Summer Flutter Collection include uno smalto identico a Charla, dal nome Catch Me In Your Net.

Ora che vi ho fatto vedere proprio tutti gli Zoya attualmente in mio possesso devo scegliere una nuova marca di cui parlare... Qualche suggerimento? :P

Hi ladies, today's polish is the stunning Zoya Ivanka from the Summer 2010 Sparkle collection.
Application was easy enough, but needed various coats to hide the nail line.
I think I stopped at 4 with good results. I then applied 1 coat of cheap Essence top coat.

Buongiorno, lo smalto di oggi è il fantastico Zoya Ivanka dalla Summer 2010 Sparkle collection.
L'applicazione è stata abbastanza facile, ma per coprire la nail line sono servite diverse passate. Se non ricordo male mi sono fermata a 4 con un buon risultato. Poi ci ho passato sopra 1 strato di top coat economico della Essence.

Hey there, how's everyone doing? I'm suffering from my usual allergies and asthma attacks, but this year I'm going to be brave and keep right on swatching and polishing my nails. I even got one of those surgical masks to limit the fumes inhalation. :p
So, today's polish is Zoya Zara from the Flourish Winter 08 collection. I admit I got it for its name, since my dog's name is Zarah, I couldn't pass this up!
Luckily it's not a fugly color at all, with its lovely gold shimmer in a lilac base.
Pics are 3 coats, no top coat. ^^

Ciao a tutti, come va? Questo per me è il periodo delle allergie e degli attacchi d'asma, ma quest'anno sarò più coraggiosa dell'anno passato e continuerò a produrre swatches e a verniciarmi tutto il possibile. Ho persino preso una di quelle maschere da chirurgo per limitare l'inalazione dei vapori. :p
Comunque, lo smalto di oggi è Zoya Zara, dalla Flourish Winter 08 collection. Devo ammettere di averlo acquistato per il nome, dal momento che il mio cane si chiama Zarah. Non potevo di certo farmelo sfuggire!
Fortunatamente il colore è bello quanto il nome che porta (XD megalomania, lo so), con i suoi riflessi dorati in una base lilla.

Zoya Nova

Hi there, today's post is about Zoya Nova, from the Ultra Glitter Collection. As the name suggests it's a really awesome glitter, a pink base packed with big purple and pink round glitter. It's super sweet and sparkly and it makes me want to get Astra, too.
Pics are 3 coats + top coat, I suggest clicking for amazing glitter detail.

Buonasera a tutti, il post di oggi riguarda Zoya Nova, dalla Ultra Glitter Collection.
Come si deduce dal nome, è un fantastico glitter con una base rosa piena di grandi particelle glitter rotonde di colori diversi, dal rosa al viola.
E' davvero molto 'scintillante', mi è venuta voglia di prendere anche Astra (dalla stessa collezione, ma sui toni del rosso).
Nelle foto 3 passate + top coat, cliccate per ingrandire e vedere il glitter in tutta la sua gloria.

P.s.: Anche questo come Veruschka è stato un regalo ricevuto dopo il Masterpost, perciò non vi figura, ma cercherò di aggiornarlo...

The formula is a bit streaky, but it's nothing multiple coats won't fix.

Hello everyone, today's polish is Zoya Trixie.
I'd wanted it for a long time, but only recently decided to finally get it from sparkling*nails as I placed the order for Adina and Reece.
I have to say I expected love at first sight, but I was a bit disappointed, there's something about this polish that doesn't sit right with me, for some reason. And as you can see in pics it even chipped on my middle finger after a few hours of wearing it around the house.

Buon pomeriggio, lo smalto di oggi è Zoya Trixie, preso da sparkling*nails insieme ad Adina e Reece, dopo averci messo gli occhi sopra da parecchio tempo.
Purtroppo non è stato esattamente amore a prima vista come credevo sarebbe stato...
Questo smalto ha qualcosa che non mi convince, ma non saprei dire cosa. E per giunta, come si vede dalle foto, dopo poche ore dall'applicazione mi si è staccato un pezzetto nell'angolo dell'unghia del medio.

Hello again! Today I have pics of Zoya Nephratiti for you. This is my first Zoya, a bright red with a bit of pink shimmer.
It's not the most exciting shade ever, so I mattified it with Essie Matte About You.
Doesn't look half bad, does it? ^^

Di nuovo ciao a tutti! Oggi è il turno di Zoya Nephratiti, il mio primo smalto Zoya. E' un rosso acceso con effetto shimmer rosa.
Non è il colore più originale del mondo, quindi ho pensato di renderlo matte con Essie Matte About You.
Niente male, no? ^^

Hi there, I hope everyone is having a nice Sunday! I've had quite a week, today being my only day off, having had to work on Saturday morning too. Man, I'm tired.
Sooo, today's polish is Zoya Veruschka, last one of the Matte Velvet Winter collection of 2009 I just recently received as a late bday gift.
The first two polishes, Harlow and Savita dried much more matte than the satiny finish Veruschka sets to, and I had to research to see if there was something wrong with my bottle or if it was a common thing. It appears to be what this was meant to look like, word by VampyVarnish is enough for me. =)
Pics are 2 thick toats + top coat later on.

Allora, lo smalto di oggi è Zoya Veruschka, l'ultimo della Matte Velvet Winter collection 2009, che ho appena ricevuto come regalo di compleanno. (Grazie alla mammigna, Flami e Claudia! :*)

Gli altri due smalti della collezione Harlow e Savita da asciutti erano molto più matte (opachi) del finish tipo seta che prende Veruschka.
Ma anche VampyVarnish ha riscontrato questa cosa, quindi suppongo sia stata una cosa intenzionale della Zoya.

Good afternoon! Today's polish is Zoya Savita from the Matte Velvet Winter collection of 2009.
Since my first post with all my Zoyas I have been given Veruschka as a gift, so I now have all three of them. Yay!
About Savita I have to say it wasn't as easy as Harlow to apply. It was a bit goopy and I ended up with coats much thicker than I usually like.
If I ever wear it again I'm definitely thinning it.
As for the color it's the same concept as Harlow, it's full of microglitter that sparkles when top coat is applied.
Coats: 2 thick ones and then top coat.

Riguardo Savita devo dire che l'applicazione è stata più difficile di quella di Harlow. E' troppo denso e ha prodotto strati molto più spessi di quelli che uso di solito.
Se dovessi usarlo di nuovo lo diluirei un pò prima.
Per quanto riguarda il colore il principio è lo stesso di Harlow, una base scura piena di microglitter che prende vita con l'applicazione del top coat.
Passate: 2 ma pesanti e poi top coat.

Hello again people! The sky here in Rome has been overcast for a long, long, time, I hope I'll be able to see the sun and take new pics soon, this weather is getting old real fast. :(
Luckily I have a few more Zoya swatches ready on my HD so I can keep this Zoya thing up.
Today is Zoya Harlow's turn. It's one of the matte polishes from the Matte Velvet Winter collection of 2009.
I don't really leave the house wearing real matte polishes because I don't like the possibility of them peeling, cracking, or of breaking a nail because I'm not wearing top coat.
There's, of course, the option of putting top coat over it, and I must say Harlow comes alive when it's shiny. All the glitter flecks that are beautiful when matte are even more stunning when top coat is applied.
Pics are 2 coats + top coat in the last 2. ;)

Buon giorno! Il cielo su Roma è coperto da giorni e giorni, spero che il sole spunti fuori presto e mi permetta di fare nuove foto, non se ne può più. :(
Per fortuna ho ancora da parte qualche swatch Zoya che avevo preparato nelle scorse settimane, così posso continuare a postare.
Oggi è il turno di Zoya Harlow. E' uno degli smalti matte dalla Matte Velvet Winter collection 2009.
Non indosso mai un vero e proprio smalto matte per uscire perché non voglio correre il rischio che si rovini o che mi si spezzi un'unghia perché non ho su il top coat.
Ovviamente ci si può sempre dare una passata di top coat, e devo dire che da lucido Harlow prende vita. Tutto il glitter che fa un bell'effetto quando è opaco diventa ancora più sorprendente quando si applica il top coat.
Per le foto ho dato 2 passate e poi una di top coat nelle ultime due.

Hi there! Today's polish is Zoya Delilah, a red base with red microglitter, a close relative to China Glaze Ruby Pumps.
I don't have much to say about this except it's shiny and it applies like butter.
Pics are 3 coats + top coat, taken in shade because of sucky weather.

Hi again, sorry for the lack of posts, I've been feeling lousy for a while, and the new job is not helping any.
Anway, as promised, here's Reece.
It's a lot pinker than I usually go for, but the swatches I saw of it made me impulse-buy it. I'm glad I did because even I can appreciate the lovely flash of gold and the overall gorgeousness of Reece.

Buon pomeriggio, mi scuso per la mancanza di posts, ma è un pò che mi sento vagamente male, ed il lavoro non aiuta affatto.
Comunque, ecco Reece, come promesso.
Di solito non amo questo tipo di colori, ed ho acquistato Reece d'impulso dopo aver visto degli swatches che mi avevano affascinata.
Non mi sono pentita perché pur non amando il rosa posso apprezzare il riflesso dorato e la generale bellezza di Reece.

Good morning ;). Today I have pics of gorgeous Zoya Adina from the Reverie Collection to show you.
I couldn't help picking this one and Reece up after seeing them swatched and I can say I definitely don't regret it.
Adina's a bit sheer so I used 4 coats to hide the nail line.

Salve a tutti. Oggi è la volta di Zoya Adina, star indiscussa della Reverie Collection 2009. Non ho saputo resistere a questo smalto lilla bicromatico con microparticelle verdi. E' un pò liquido e non molto pigmentato, quindi ho dato 4 passate.

Hello again! First up in my Zoya 'week' is Roxy. It's hands down my favourite Zoya polish, with its awesome sparkly purpleness.

Buon lunedì e buon giorno! Il primo Zoya che vi mostro è anche il mio preferito: Roxy. Si tratta di una base lampone nella quale risalta del glitter color magenta. Assolutamente fantastico, come potete vedere:

Per un'applicazione ottimale consiglio di stendere più strati 'fini' e di lasciar asciugare tra uno e l'altro.
Nelle foto ho utilizzato 3 strati e poi 2 di top coat per rendere il tutto uniforme e brillante.

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Ruby Sapphire

Hey there. This is the final post of the Nail Prisms Special, about the two different versions of Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Ruby Sapphire I've acquired on eBay. It wasn't intentional for me to own 2 bottles, I think I just forgot I already had it or the second one came in a set, I can't remember.

Pictured above is the version I like best, let's name it 'the good twin', a glittery purple that sparkles blue.
That was 3 coats, no top coat.

This one is the 'bad twin', flatter version of the two. It's not as sparkly and not a real duochrome but you can see there's blue particles in a lighter purple.
3 coats, no top coat (this one is very glossy).

And this is a comparison between the two versions. The 'bad twin' is on index and middle fingers, the 'good' one on ring and pinky. As you can see even the application of the 'bad twin' is sucky, I couldn't get it to dry, so the coats aren't even.

Ciao a tutti, il post di oggi riguarda le due versioni di Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Ruby Sapphire di cui sono entrata in possesso tramite eBay. Non ho acquistato il secondo smalto intenzionalmente, è probabile che mi fossi scordata di averlo già, oppure che l'abbia acquistato in un set.

Le prime foto sono della versione che preferisco, chiamiamola 'il gemello buono'.
E' un viola glitteroso con particelle blu.

La seconda serie di foto invece è del 'gemello cattivo'. Rispetto all'altro è più piatto e più chiaro. Il glitter blu è sempre presente ma meno visibile.
Entrambe le volte ho usato 3 passate senza top coat, ma si nota che il 'gemello cattivo' almeno è molto lucido.

L'ultima foto mette a confronto i due smalti, sull'indice e il medio abbiamo il 'gemello cattivo' e su anulare e mignolo quello 'buono'.
Anche la stesura del 'gemello cattivo' è peggiore rispetto a quello 'buono', non sembrava asciugarsi mai, quindi i due strati sono un pò pasticciati.

Questo è tutto per quanto riguarda il mio Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Special. Spero vi sia piaciuto e che possa essere di aiuto a chi sta cercando queste gemme rare.

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Garnet Lapis

Hey there! ^^
This is my second to last post about the Sally Hansen Nail Prisms, and I'm glad too, it was getting boring. The next few posts are going to be about 'Zoya Week', though I think it's going to turn into 'Zoya Month' due to my laziness and surprisingly busy schedule.
Anyway, less chatting more picture showing. This is Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Garnet Lapis, mainly a dark blue in sunlight, the purple duochrome effect is only visible in the shade.
Index was 4 coats of just Garnet Lapis, rest of the fingers were 3 coats of Garnet Lapis over 1 coat of Kiko black polish. Cheap Essence top coat was applied to all fingers.
As usual click for bigger, and thanks to anyone who's still reading. ;)

iniziando ad annoiarmi. :p
I prossimi post saranno dedicati alla Zoya, anche se mi sa che la 'Settimana Zoya' che avevo programmato diventerà il 'Mese Zoya' a causa di impegni vari e pigrizia congenita.
Comunque, tornando all'argomento di questo post, lo smalto di oggi è Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Garnet Lapis, un blu scuro in piena luce che rivela sfumature di viola in controluce.
Indice: 4 strati di Garnet Lapis da solo, resto delle unghie: 3 strati di Garnet Lapis su 1 strato di Kiko nero. Il tutto fissato con una passata di top coat economico Essence.

Hi all, just wanted to let you know I haven't gone AWOL again.
I'm not going to be updating for a few more days cause I started a new training course at the hospital and I have a few things going on right now (including the Italian Supernatural convention around Easter XD). Swear I'll be back soon!

Hi again. On this sunny day I have Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Amber Ruby for you. It's a duochrome, it flashes bronze and reddish gold.
Application was somewhat of a nightmare. This thing would not dry! I struggled to achieve my usual 3 layers, and the end result isn't perfect, but it'll have to do. :)

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Emerald Amethyst

Today I'm going to show you Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Emerald Amethyst. It's a duochrome, mainly purple with green and gold flashes.
I really like this one, it resembles the color of the taffeta dress I wore for my 18h birthday party. I may have hated the (huge) dress but I loved the color. :)
3 coats, no top coat (it's really glossy, though).

Oggi vi mostro Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Emerald Amethyst. E' bicromatico, il viola predomina ma si notano anche il verde e l'oro.

How's everyone doing today? I'm a bit bummed about the terrible weather we've been having lately, I wish I had a bit of sun to do more swatching...
Good news is I still have enough material to continue the Nail Prisms special!
Today's color is Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Pink Rose Diamond, a pretty prismatic pink. Pics are 3 coats, no top coat. :)

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Turquoise Opal

Hi, I apologise for the lack of posts, but don't worry, I haven't gone away again. ;)
To prove how much I still care about you I think I'll share one of my favourite Nail Prisms, Sally Hansen Turquoise Opal. This is a gorgeous duochrome that shifts from purple to blue and even to brownish gold. Like all Nail Prisms it's very sheer, so index and middle are 4 coats of just Turquoise Opal, while ring and little finger are 2 coats of Turquoise Opal over 1 coat of black polish. No top coat.

Buon giorno, mi scuso per la mancanza di post di questi ultimi giorni, ma non c'è pericolo, non vi ho abbandonati. ;)
Oggi sul menu c'è Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Turquoise Opal, uno smalto effetto multicromatico che va dal viola al blu e persino al dorato-marrone-rosso. Come tutti gli smalti di questa linea è molto liquido, quindi sull'indice e il medio ne ho passato 4 strati, mentre su anulare e mignolo ne ho dato 2 passate su 1 strato di smalto nero. Non ho aggiunto top coat.

Today's pick is Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Purple Diamond. It's a prismatic light purple. There isn't much else to say about it. It's pretty and purple and I took a lot of pictures of it for no other reason...
In the pics I'm wearing 3 coats on ring finger, 2 on all others, and no top coat.

Up next is Sally Hansen Nail Prisms South Sea Pearl, a duochrome. It shifts from pearly glittery gold to pearly pink. It's really sheer and runny but still manageably so. I don't really like wearing sheers since I used to bite my nails pretty viciously and that causes the white part of my nail to start higher up than normal.
Pics are 3 coats, no top coat.

Lo smalto di oggi è Sally Hansen Nail Prisms South Sea Pearl, bicromatico che passa da un oro perlato con del glitter a un rosa perlato.
E' decisamente trasparente e un pò troppo liquido, ma me la sono cavata. Non amo indossare smalti che lascino trasparire l'unghia perchè dal momento che avevo l'abitudine di mangiarmi le unghie, la parte bianca inizia molto più in alto del normale, e non mi piace si veda...

Let's start off the first Nail Prisms week with one of the most famous polishes: Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Diamond 01.
I love this one to pieces, even if it takes 4 coats for it to stop being too sheer.
No top coat was applied. :)

Per iniziare la prima settimana di Nail Prisms ho scelto Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Diamond 01, uno dei più famosi della linea.
Lo adoro, anche se ci vogliono almeno 4 passate perchè non si veda l'unghia sotto.

I'm starting this week off with another theme. Last year I posted pics of a few of the Sally Hansen Nail Prisms I got on eBay but I'm not satisfied with my old camera, so I'm going to redo it all and finish it this time. :)

Diamond, South Sea Pearl, Purple Diamond, Turquoise Opal

Pink Rose Diamond, Golden Tourmaline, Emerald Amethyst, Ruby Sapphire, Bronze Coral

Ruby Sapphire, Garnet Lapis, Ruby Emerald, Amber Ruby

As you can see I own two bottles named 'Ruby Sapphire', and their contents are reeeeeally different. But we'll get there. ;)

So, starting tomorrow, it's Nail Prisms week!

Questa settimana sarà la settimana dedicata ai Sally Hansen Nail Prisms. L'anno scorso avevo iniziato a fotografare questi straordinari colori, ma ho deciso di rifare tutte le foto con la nuova macchina fotografica e di portare a termine il progetto, stavolta.
I Nail Prisms li ho acquistati su eBay da venditori diversi, per la maggior parte dal Regno Unito. Questa linea non è più in produzione da anni, ma a volte ancora si trovano su eBay.

Diamond Cosmetics Don't Teal My Heart Away is the last polish from my Diamond Cosmetics haul. As the name suggests it's a gorgeous teal.
As soon as I saw pics of this color I knew I had to have it, or one just like it.
This is 3 coats + top coat to make it even prettier.

Diamond Cosmetics Oh, Tiff!

Hi there, today's polish is Diamond Cosmetics Oh, Tiff!.
I found it kind of hard to work with, it maybe needed thinner, but I didn't have any handy, so I made do. It was also streaky, and I had to apply a top coat to smooth it out, even if I was only swatching.
Even if it was a bit of a rebel formula wise, the color makes up for it.
Aqua/Mint colors are one of the last trends in polish and I must say I'm loving it. As you can see from the color I use to write on my pics I'm really fond of cyan and neighbouring colors.
Pics are 3 coats + top coat.

Lo smalto di oggi è il penultimo Diamond Cosmetics che ho da mostrarvi.
Si chiama Oh, Tiff! e vuole essere un blu Tiffany.
Questi colori acqua/menta sono una delle ultime mode in fatto di smalto, praticamente ogni brand ne ha prodotto almeno uno negli ultimi mesi, e devo dire che questa cosa mi rende felice.
Come potete notare dal colore che uso per scrivere sulle immagini sono molto affezionata al colore cyan, quindi sto collezionando tutti i vari verde menta e aqua su cui riesco a mettere le mani.
Per quanto riguarda l'applicazione è stata problematica, probabilmente avrei dovuto aggiungere un pò di diluente per renderlo più fluido, ma non ne avevo sottomano, quindi mi sono arrangiata. Poichè ad applicazione completata non mi piaceva si vedessero i segni del pennellino ho dato una passata di top coat, anche se lo stavo applicando solo per fotografarlo come swatch e l'avrei tolto dopo 2 minuti.
Quindi nelle foto vedete 3 strati di smalto e uno di top coat.

Diamond Cosmetics Chainmail Charm

Hey there. :)
What do I have to show you today? It's Diamond Cosmetics Chainmail Charm! I looooove black/grey holos! I used to love wearing black nail polish, before it even became a trend in my country, since black is my favourite color for clothes and just about anything else. Now that I have so many other options, though, I nevah evah wear simple black polish anymore. This is a nice compromise, since it's black-ish but still awesome and unique enough for me to feel special wearing it. =)
I think I'll be sporting this one for a real manicure soon.

The swatches are 2 coats but I could have gone over a third time if I hadn't been too lazy the morning I took those. :p
No top coat was applied.

Oggi per voi ho Diamond Cosmetics Chainmail Charm. Adoro gli smalti neri/grigi/marroncini olografici (di nuovo, chiedo perdono se non è il termine adatto)!
Visto che il nero è il mio colore preferito per gli abiti e più o meno anche tutto il resto, ho sempre amato lo smalto nero, anche prima che diventasse una moda.
Poi però ho scoperto il colore, il glitter, e tutto il resto, e ormai una manicure con lo smalto nero non la faccio più. Chainmail Charm è un ottimo compromesso perchè è più o meno nero ma ha comunque qualcosa di deliziosamente originale.

Gli swatch sono con 2 strati, anche se 3 non avrebbero guastato, e senza top coat.

Diamond Cosmetics Blue Diamonds

Good morning, everyone. ^^
Today's polish is Diamond Cosmetics Blue Diamonds from their Holiday Collection '09. It's a light blue with holographic glitter.
I really liked it, and removal was easy, even though it contains glitter.
In the pics I'm wearing 2 coats, no top coat. Blue Diamonds gets bonus points for not feeling too gritty even without tc.

Nuovo giorno, nuovo smalto Diamond Cosmetics. Quello di oggi è Blue Diamonds dalla Holiday Collection dello scorso anno. E' un blu chiaro ed acceso con del glitter effetto olografico (se non è questo il termine adatto perdonatemi ma non so come altro definirlo in italiano) all'interno. Quindi non è uno smalto propriamente olografico, contiene solo del glitter olografico, stranamente facile da rimuovere.
Nelle foto ho su due passate senza top coat. Anche senza top coat il glitter non era troppo ruvido, quindi questo smalto si merita una ulteriore stellina. :)

Diamond Cosmetics Sandle Wood

As promised here's the first polish from Diamond Cosmetics: Sandle Wood.
I admit it's not my usual choice of color, but I needed some more work appropriate colors, and this one really is. It's lovely without risking raised eyebrows.
The first picture is a swatch, three coats no top coat.
The second one is the konadicure I'm wearing as I type. It's the same color in a different light. As you can see I've been to the manicurist for a chop-down, cause today I'm starting an internship at an hospital to be trained as a kind of receptionist.

Il primo smalto della Diamond Cosmetics che ho scelto di mostrarvi è Sandle Wood . Ammetto che non è il tipo di colore tipicamente mio, come mi hanno fatto notare (:P), ma mi serviva qualcosa di appropriato per l'ambiente lavorativo e questo è davvero perfetto.
La prima foto è uno swatch con tre strati e niente top coat, la seconda invece è della konadicure che ho adesso. Come potete notare le mie unghie da quando ho fotografato gli swatches sono passate dall'accetta della manicure. Purtroppo è stato necessario visto che oggi inizio un corso al Pertini per una cooperativa che gestisce le prenotazioni e roba varia.

I think it only ships to Europe, but there isn't a specific page about shipping so I'm not sure. I paid 4.20€ for shipping to Italy.

As you can see the regular polishes were 3.95€ while the holiday collection was priced 4.50€.
I got the package about a week after placing the order, can't really complain about that.

The site also recently started selling L.A. Girl nail polish for 3.99€.

The package was really ridiculously big for all of 5 nail polish bottles, which bothers me a little, I much rather prefer neatly wrapped bottles inside a reasonably fitting box than bottles floating in a million styrofoam peanuts. Only redeeming point was that the bottles weren't singolarly packaged but were in two groups of three and two.

Buona sera a tutti. Il post di oggi riguarda un ordine di smalti marca Diamond Cosmetics effettuato dal sito BoozyShop.
La Diamond Cosmetics è una piccola compagnia americana che ha colori interessanti e prezzi stracciati, almeno per le americane che possono ordinare direttamente dal loro sito.
Purtroppo non spediscono fuori dagli USA, quindi avevo zero speranze di averne qualcuno. E invece poi è uscito fuori questo BoozyShop. Il sito è in olandese ma si naviga bene con l'aiuto della traduzione di Google. Le spese di spedizione per i 5 smalti che ho preso sono state contenute, 4.20€, e il pacco mi è arrivato nel giro di una settimana. L'unica cosa che non mi ha convinto molto è stata la scatola ridicolosamente grande in cui hanno messo quelle misere 5 boccette. Preferisco di gran lunga ricevere un pacchetto di dimensioni giuste in cui gli smalti non navigano in un mare di quelle noccioline di styrofoam. Almeno li avevano incartati a due e a tre, quindi non navigavano soli soletti...

Sempre lo stesso sito ha recentemente aggiunto al suo shop anche gli smalti L.A. Girl, altra marca americana che prima era reperibile solo via Cherry Culture.
Il prezzo mi pare buono, 3.99€.

Durante la prossima settimana vi posterò gli swatch. ^^

China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le + Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor + Konad

As promised here's my attempt to spice China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le up a bit.
I started by adding 2 coats of Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor and then used Konad plate M36 with Konad special nail polish in white.

I apologize for the tip wear and the general state of my nails, the pictures were taken after a couple of days wear and a bath with no gloves on. :)

Visto che lo smalto del post di ieri, China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le, mi sembrava un pò noioso, ho aggiunto due strati di Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor e poi, usando lo smalto Konad apposito ho trasferito il disegno dal plate M36.

Chiedo scusa per il pessimo stato delle mie unghie in queste foto, ma sono state fatte dopo qualche giorno di 'usura'. :)
